Smolyaninova Galina Biography
Please evaluate in the February issue of the magazine "Caravan stories" the memories of the last love of Bulat Okudzhava Natalia Gorlenko appeared. Well, tactfully written, but now not about that. I would like to dwell on only one moment. Namely - the premature death of Galina Smolyaninova, the first wife of Bulat. Here is a fragment from the publication. Then I did not understand the meaning of the last phrase, but the time will pass and a friend of Okudzhava will devote me to the secret of the tragic death of Galina Smolyaninova: - Bulat left her to Olga.
And after the divorce, exactly a year later - day a day - Gali did not. The official version is acute heart failure, but in fact - suicide. I, bulging my eyes, rushed to look for Bulat. That your first wife committed suicide?! Not a single muscle trembled on his face: - Calm down. Such rumors go and I somehow immediately believed that these were just rumors.
And again, like forty -eight years ago, a discussion unfolded only not in the kitchen, but on the Internet - it is rumors or true. In this regard, I decided to share the results of my “investigation”. Galina died on November 7, at the age of 39. Many of those with whom I happened to talk about it were assured that it was suicide, Galina hanged herself.
But there were no direct eyewitnesses, who would be called “from the rope”, there were no. But in the year I happened to meet the screenwriter Nikolai Vasilievich Rozhkov. He was already very old and constantly lived in the house of cinema veterans. He told me that he was in the writer's house where Bulat’s wife died, the chairman of the Domokom or something like that. And everything happened almost before his eyes.
And he categorically states that the wife of Bulat Okudzhava Galina hanged herself. I told about this sister Galina Irina Pinotseva, and she categorically rejected this version. Irina Vasilievna said that there is a certificate of death of her sister, where it is written in black and white that she died as a result of a heart attack. But for me, as for an experienced investigator, the faithful successor of Erkul Poiro and Miss Marpl, there was no certificate of death a serious argument.
The fact is that, as a Soviet man, it was known that in the Soviet Union of suicides, in principle, such cases should have been interpreted as a heart attack or stroke. After all, she loved her son very much! It was really difficult to imagine this. No matter how bad her husband who abandoned her was, no matter how much he wanted to “annoy”. The question remained.
And somehow I came home to Bulat's friend to literary critic Benedict Sarnov. And they were also neighbors from Okudzhav. Naturally, among others, I asked the owner and about the death of Galina. Benedict Mikhailovich categorically stated that it was a heart attack. I, as an experienced investigator, doubted and asked for details. And then Sarnov called his wife, and they together, interrupting each other, told me how it was.
As the frightened son of Bulat and Gali came running to them, they lived either with a floor above or lower, I did not remember and said that my mother was bad. How he and his wife ran to Okudzhava’s apartment and found Galya still alive. How unsuccessfully they tried to call an ambulance the day was festive. How they ran to some other neighbors, knowing that the doctor lives there, but the doctor did not want to break away from the festive feast.
The ambulance still arrived, but late. On this I finished my investigation. I myself, it seemed, knew Galina Vasilievna well in many stories.
And he was glad that he was not deceived in her - such a woman could not do so vile in relation to her beloved only son.
