Samuel Kangun Biography

Samuel Kangun: “I wanted the Moon through a piece of bread with butter” “Competent” is talking with an assistant professor at the department of universal history, the head of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the History Faculty of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University named after V. From what step the long road began? The plane landed at the Emelyanovo airport late. And so I almost stayed on this day on the street to spend the night.

Fortunately, there was a place in the hostel on the street. Soon I already led the first lecture. So, immediately from the ship to the ball ... I lived in this hostel for a year, which was pretty funny. I was settled in a large room on the second floor, where there were four empty iron beds and one mine. And everyone who came, as a load was determined to me in this room.

And once, on behalf of the regional committee of the Komsomol, students went through the hostels to find out where and how anyone lives. Among them were the guys to whom I give lectures. When they saw my room, they looked like they were hit on the head. In the evening, they arranged a giant scandal in the party committee on the topic “Where did you put our teacher?! As a result, I was transferred to a separate small corner room in size only 9 meters, on the third floor.

But the trouble was not this: only girls lived on the floor! And when I had to go out into the corridor, at first I did not dare to go out the door for a long time. He stood for a long time and waited for a convenient moment. The fact is that girls, when they live a purely female team, relax a bit. They walked along the corridor, to put it mildly, not quite dressed.

At first I endured, and then still somehow expressed my opinion on this subject on the course. There was a big roar, but then the girls began to go out into the corridor in normal form. A year later, I changed my apartment in Kaliningrad to Krasnoyarsk and left the hostel. Since then, everything is fine with me, I have been working and live slowly. By birth, I am a Kievite.

After school, I went to Kaliningrad. On the one hand, I wanted independence, on the other hand, my brother, still a native soul, served as a senior lieutenant. As a result, of all possible options, I chose Kaliningrad. Fifteen years of my life are connected with him. There I graduated from the Institute with honors, was the secretary of the Komsomol committee of this institute.

He married there, then my children were born. After my departure, my wife, as the wife of the Decembrist, followed me to Siberia, to Krasnoyarsk. Probably there is nothing unusual in my biography. After the institute, I served in the army: I had to serve for three years, but the service was reduced by a year. He returned, entered the graduate school of the Leningrad Herzen Institute, simultaneously working at school.

I have nine years of work at school. I studied three days a week, and three taught three. I have a very good relationship with the guys. When I served in the army, they wrote a letter in the name of the commander of my unit. I don’t know what was in the letter there, but they gave me a vacation for 10 days. And I served in Riga. Thus, I managed to visit the graduation evening of my children at school.

In the year, as an officer of the reserve, I was called up to the Czechoslovak campaign for more than three months. When he arrived in Krasnoyarsk and went to the military registration and enlistment office to register, the military commissar was very closely examined by my military ID, where it was written that I had performed some special task. He turned him in his hands for a long time and asked: “What kind of special task is this?

I also visited the Great Military exercises of the "Dvina" in the year. In the same year he defended his thesis and left for Krasnoyarsk. There is a very good department here; The people who worked here had a great influence on me. Seven months later I was invited to the post of deputy dean. As for my scientific interests, I was always attracted to Great Britain and Ireland.

Samuel Kangun Biography

Probably, a certain romanticism affected, because I chose the topic related to the national liberation labor movement. Then I was convinced that the people, who themselves were subjected to violence, develops immunity to various forms of chauvinism and nationalism. In fact, this is far from the way that you understand only growing up. Bullets whistled over your head?

For a month we stood on the border. It so happened that I fell into the same division where I was military service. The division was disbanded to two parts: two regiments crossed the border faster, and the rest lingered. For two days without stopping, our tanks went through Poland and the GDR. Imagine: deep night, narrow streets of European cities, along the streets in dense rows are the local population.

And we are going against this background on tanks at a decent speed of 50 kilometers per hour. Sometimes it happened that the tank could not fit into the turn and demolished the corner of the house ... Then we stopped our division, we stood in the mountains, where there were very narrow mountain serpentines, 50 meters from each other. And just fired into the air. The tension, of course, was very large.

When we occupied the Czech border outpost of God's gift, which the Czechs simply abandoned and left, no one could believe that it was.For a day, our soldiers with mortars crawled along it, trying to find “surprises”. Relations with local residents, to put it mildly, were complex, especially with young Czechs. Those who are older still remembered the Great Patriotic War.

Once the intelligence of our regiment flew to Karlovy Varya: there all the walls and roofs were painted with slogans such as "Lenin, get up, Brezhnev went crazy." I would lie if I began to argue that at that time most people had no doubt that we were doing everything right. The struggle for strengthening the foundations of socialism, the confrontation of the input of American troops ...

Only then sobering up came. What human suffering did fate have pushed you? These are “specialists” often led to victims. Once, when a column was walking and tanks slowed down, someone accidentally hit between combat vehicles. Then the first time I saw the human heart jumped out of my chest. There were thousands of troops in Czechoslovakia. And besides ours were also Hungarians, Bulgarians, Poles.

But there were no such fights as in the cinema. There were explosions, bottles of incendiary mixture rushed, but there were no big offenses. But the fact that Czechoslovakia made us all think is so. After all, only six people went to Red Square openly protest against the entry into Czechoslovakia of the Soviet troops. Only six ... When we returned from there, we thought for a long time: what did we do there and why were we treated like this?

I remember there was such an episode. Two officers from the Poltava school arrived. It was Sunday Spring Day. Near the outpost there was a rather large crowd of Czechs - women and children. And the officers decided to come to talk with the local population. We are to them, and they - from us ... in those years - e - what was said aloud, very diverge from what was actually. And this difference between the proclaimed principles and reality was more and more striking.

Have you had to "rewrite" the story? I can definitely say that it is better, of course, now. If you do not turn the story into the subject “What do you deign? I really like the phrase: "The historian must be the keeper of the conscience of the nation." The historian should try as much as possible to form such a view of the world that would allow a person to think, reflect, without looking back at the obligatory ideology.

He is a very good specialist, he has an excellent diagnostic gift. At one time, he even tried to combine medical activities and automobile business. The youngest son Eugene received the highest historical and psychological education. I studied here, at my faculty. He served in airborne troops. In general, Eugene tried many professions, even worked as a orderly.

And then, when Alexander began to develop Toyota, he slowly came to him.
