He began his career at the signal plant as a simple engineer, after graduating from the Institute of Agricultural Engineering. So, having heard that he was sent here, Gennady Ivanovich was delighted. I realized that a magnificent opportunity to apply his knowledge, his strength and bring plans to live for him.

There were many plans and then there are a lot of them now. Today Obninsk is following the innovative path, experts have developed its development strategy, and Gennady Sklyar plays a very large role in this global process. In each city they are present, but make up no more than two to three percent of the total number of all inhabitants. So in our Obninsk one of these activists is precisely Gennady Ivanovich.

Anatoly Alexandrovich has long known Sklyar well. And, in his opinion, this person is connected with the science city by almost blood ties. And the inhabitants of Obninsk well remember who always stood behind them, who helped, not afraid to make enemies and become objectionable for someone. This is due to the fact that last year a new law on the status of a science city entered into force, in connection with which, the understanding of the science city itself has undergone changes. Now Obninsk is not just a place where scientific achievements are born, but a city where they should turn into new enterprises and products.

All this is not easy to realize and from the middle of last year Gennady Ivanovich has again actively involved in the process of forming Obninsk strategy. For example, in our city it is planned to develop a nuclear cluster. And Gennady Sklya is going to lobby for the development of nuclear technologies at the legislative level. And when the preparation has already begun, the director of large defense enterprises of the Kaluga region reminded me that there is another strategic direction - industry.

Now I have formulated, three areas of activity in the State Duma - industry, communication and high technologies, ”says Sklyar himself. Gennady Ivanovich also believes that today it is very important that Obninsk is turning into a center of nuclear medicine. And he recalls that at one time Anatoly Fedorovich Tsyba had grandiose plans on this subject, but unfortunately, it was not possible to implement them.

And now, in his opinion, a rather favorable situation develops in order for Obninsk to become a recognized leading center of nuclear medicine. This is the number one project for me. There should be a business plan and the system of organizational measures and interaction with the ministries, and lobbying the federal budget and much more. So everyone who vote in September for Gennady Sklyar will not regret it.

Life showed that this person always keeps his word. And therefore there is confidence that our city will become even more beautiful. Many new enterprises will appear in it, and many residents will receive a new interesting job.
