The Russian encyclopedist was not only a writer, historian and artist, but also a talented architect. With the direct participation of Semyon Ulyanovich in Tobolsk, the only stone Kremlin was erected, the drawings of which he himself developed. Childhood and youth Semen Remezov belonged to the estate of the "children of the boyars", which existed in the Russian kingdom and north-eastern Rus' from the end of the 14th century.
The boy was born in the year in the family of Streltsky Sotnik, the exact date of his appearance was not preserved. At the end of X, Semyon entered the Cossack service in the Ishimsky prison, where he was under the command of his father Ulyana Remezov. For some time, the parent was in disgrace, which is why he was apologized to serve in Berezov. Only by the year the young man was able to get the status of a boyar son and go to the civil service in his native Tobolsk.
Research for his life, a talented Siberian man managed to achieve success in a wide variety of areas. While in the army service, Semyon fought with nomads, Tatars and Vogulichs, now and then invading Russian land. By the end of X, he learned to the drawing, then wrote icons for some time. Remezov developed emblems for banners, which have become the attributes of seven military regiments.
Thanks to Semyon Ulyanovich, the inhabitants of Tobolsk found their first and only stone Kremlin. For the implementation of its construction, the novice architect was prepared thoroughly: he studied the maps of the terrain in the Siberian order, then went to the capital, where he studied the “Structure of Stone affairs” in the Armory. Having gained the necessary knowledge and skills, the man made drawings, hired a team of builders and set to work.
In parallel with the construction site, Remes studied the intricacies of clay production, searched for methods for making high -quality bricks, experimented with various materials. Love for the native land forced the seeds to deeply explore the history of Siberia. The fruit of his research was such books as “Remezovsky Chronicle”, “Census Tobolsk Book”, “Description of the Siberian peoples and faces of their lands”, “Description of Siberia”.
At the beginning of the century, the historian ended his large -scale work called "Drawing Book of Siberia." The work included the most important geographical studies made in Siberia by the beginning of the new century. Behind the material for the book, the writer traveled to Moscow, where original maps of water bodies and regions of the region were stored.
The drawing book included more than twenty detailed schemes created using a degree grid. The Atlas, on which Remezov worked with his sons, was published in the year. Subsequently, this detailed work helped the transportation of the Ural iron ore to other Russian regions. Atlas described rivers and ponds, features of local nature and landscape. In the course of work on the book, the author visited the Kungur cave.
At that time, the post of Siberian governor was held by Matvey Gagarin, who provided Remezov with all kinds of support. Semyon Ulyanovich created drawings for a dozen administrative buildings, developed schemes of new roads and pavements. In the year, the construction of the triumphal arch began in honor of the Siberian Heroes, to the construction of which prisoners of the Swedes were involved.
After the revolution, this work was taken to Europe, where he came to the disposal of the Harvard library. In the year alone, thanks to activists of the Tobolsk Renaissance Foundation, permission to copy the manuscript.
