Hockey player Alexander Maltsev, in his youth, defended the honor of the Soviet Union in large sport on home -made skates for the first time at six years old. They were made by his father. In hockey they could drive until eleven in the evening.

Alexander was not accepted into the hockey section of Alexander, the reason was in the small growth of the boy. But thanks to unprecedented perseverance, coach Nikolai Polyakov was forced to take him to the children's team “Chemist”.

He took him to Sweden to see what international competitions are. There, his team competed for the Akherna Cup. Around the same time, Viktor Tikhonov noticed him and immediately called him to Dynamo.

In OM, he already in the country's national team went to score the goals at the Olympics, where he was able to show himself the best scorer. A year passed, and at the World Cup, a talented guy became the best striker of the planet. He managed to score fifteen goals. The athlete had incredible speed, could play anyway. The ability to quietly send the puck into the goal, made Alexander very dangerous for any goalkeeper.
