It was enough to invite him once to the holiday, as he became a favorite artist. Without it, not a single event was complete. People continued to call the magician again and again, recommending others. Therefore, Alexander worked for wear and was the king of the event industry. He was invited not only the rich - often he performed on simple holidays. Sarafan radio spreaded fame about him as the best magician, "one hundred percent option." Watching his performance was especially entertaining, since Alexander accompanied all the tricks, jokes, and unusual stories. If the focus was based on the props, Alexander preceded the show with words about the dexterity of the hands. In the same place where dexterity was used, Zhabin emphasized the meaning of the props. Having looked at the artist’s performance, I immediately rushed to the scenes, but his assistant reacted warily to my zeal.

It was saved that the conversation began with a sensible proposal about the focus with the ring. Alexander liked this, so we met. The nail of his program was a trick with a coin driving into a bottle. Each time, the guests checked a coin, a bottle for a long time, made sure that the coin did not pass into the neck, and ... sat discouraged, looking at the coin inside the glass vessel.

But then Zabin began to communicate with the hall, having arranged something like a small lecture.

He emphasized that he performs in a sleeveless shirt, constantly showing empty hands. I tried to understand intently on what tricks he uses in card tricks, but was completely lost. And five minutes later he almost yelled with delight! It turns out that all this time Zhabin drove the people by a special trick deck by the nose, which cannot be given to the audience.

He shut up so masterfully that it did not even occur to anyone to check the cards. Everyone was sure that the cards are ordinary and the master demonstrates the incredible dexterity of the hands. I was shocked then how magicians know how to lie! Each focus Zhabin preceded the fable that the audience listened with admiration. For example, he could start some ancient trick with a comment that a modern high-tech focus that has just appeared now will now show.

He submitted a classic popular illusion as an author's work, announcing a debut show. People eagerly listened and watched. The next trick is also intrigue - its secret is unknown even to professional illusionists. This is the legendary Hudini number that no one could neither repeat nor solve.

Then the trick from the Guinness Book of Records. Then again the novelty of the magic is two hundred years old, then a focus that no one has ever seen again! My heart pounded at every announcement, and the audience was generally proud that they were born in the same century with such an illusionist. It was clearly visible how such stories are fascinating and attracting the audience.

The audience stuck their eyes, afraid to blink once again and miss at least something. At the same time, it is worth noting that from a technical point of view, Zabin performed all the tricks flawlessly, without a single blunder. It was a visual lesson that it was perhaps not a sin to chase the magicians during the performance. You can say a lie for the good.After all, viewers like legends, they want to hear beautiful stories.

By the end of the speech, I appeared in the eye of Alexander, he immediately recognized me, and became more restrained in the interpretation of the numbers. When trying to discuss later in the dressing room the admissibility of such artistic exaggerations, Alexander, unfortunately, took it as criticism and quickly changed the subject. In the nineties, Zabin actively took part in the Magic Show program on domestic television, and a year before his death starred in the TV show “Fraudsters” REN TV, the Russian -language version of the popular English show “The Real Hustle”.

The magician, a beautiful girl and actor make scams on the camera, which later expose, explaining the principle of fraud. Many magicians reacted negatively to the program, believing that she did not prevent crimes, but, on the contrary, teaches criminal skills. No less interesting was the tales of Alexander himself. On the sidelines, he complained about the difficulty and danger of filming.
