This is physical education and work not related to volleyball. The biggest change is that I enjoy that I live not on schedule. But I can’t say that when I was engaged in volleyball, it was not a pleasure. It is impossible to deal with one thing for 35 years without pleasure. Just now a little different life. It was difficult to switch to work in another, not a sports field? At first you don’t understand anything, you start from scratch.

Gradually, I am mastering, somewhere I cope, somewhere I do not, trying to study the new thing. Naturally, all this is not easy, but nothing, this is a useful experience for me. I have to fly a lot, they will recognize me not only in Kazan, where I live. Someone asks for an autograph, someone thanks for the Olympic gold of London.

To be recognizable is not the goal for me, but it is very pleasant that many years have passed, and people still remember our success at the Olympic Games. In Kazan, people also thank the successes of Zenit. How do you like this role? I do not teach people what to do. At such performances, I just talk about my sports life. Basically, they ask me questions, they ask how we went to this or another purpose, what we overcome.

This is just communication, I talk about volleyball. Would you like to open your own volleyball school? I believe that my participation would be inappropriate in this regard. In Kazan, there is already a beautiful volleyball school of Ekaterina Gamova, this is a worthy name. If, for example, Sergei Tetyukhin needed help in his personal such project, I would love to participate.

Are you upset that he left volleyball so early? And I gave him the opportunity to play. He did not give because he has my last name. Laurent coped very well with the role of the second binder, but he wanted more. For some reason, he considered that with my departure he would not go to the site at all. I have double feelings about this. Of course, Laurent could reduce ambitions and play in another team, maybe not in the Super League.

But it is very important that he ended his career almost without injuries, unlike me. The injuries that I have accumulated as a coach and as a player, I would not wish my son. I saw that saying something is already useless. Already we can say that you have recovered? You look at Nikolai Vasilyevich Karpol, how much he works in volleyball, and it’s a shame to talk about it.

I had emotional burnout. When you plan a microcycle for the team and pushing it as many weekends as possible into it, which means that you are already doing something wrong and do it dishonestly in relation to your profession. It was harder for me to be given flights due to problems with my back. This is all accumulated, but I consider it not one hundred percent to work wrong.

A heavy operation on the back makes itself felt, of course, but everything is fine, I move. And how much do you feel? Correctly, they say that the age of gray hair is determined by the age and the fact that a person has inside. Ready to return? I had opportunities for this and suggestions. But I repeat that I do not want to work not at full strength, it will be dishonest, I can’t. Now I'm not ready.

And in Russia I would not be left without work if I gave the appropriate cry. But I do not want to deceive anyone. Would you be interested to return? Since I have no feeling that I am definitely ready, it means that time has not come yet. Looking at Nikolai Vasilyevich Karpol, I still have everything ahead of many decisions. I don't make a guess. I can also return.

Do you have an unclosed gestalt about these tournaments? But such are realities, I could not. So, it was a weakness at these tournaments. You won the Olympic Games. At each tournament you can be strong, but you can be a defeator. So I did not have something in these tournaments. Is this profession still interesting? Organizational abilities, urge I feel in myself.

I am ready to solve all issues that are in the competence of the sports director. Now, if there was an interesting proposal for such a position, I would have seriously thought. Plus, the schedule is simpler in this role, you do not need to ride a lot. If there was a specific proposal, I would consider it. Volkov himself is still completely without coaching experience.Do you think this is an adventure?

Sergei Tetyukhin understands people at least many. Not the gods burn pots, we all started without experience. I think that for Volkov, Belogorye is a good opportunity to prove himself, a good start. Thanks to work in this club, he can realize his ambitions in coaching work. I wish Sasha only success in this field! He gave himself to volleyball as a player. I wish him the same in the coaching career.

He is a person who knows how to make decisions in difficult situations. I do not have enough peace for reaction to this. You can say anything you want, but the realities today are. You need to leave this situation for a while. Time will show. That is, the Russian volleyball team now has no chance to play on the world arena. If it had changed something, we would talk about this 24 hours now.

And so it's just conversations, it turns out. Of course, it is impossible to disagree with the fact that the development of our sport is stopped. We are developing not only thanks to games in the internal championship, but also due to international matches. This helped our players progress. Kazan is rightfully considered the sports capital of our country. And the football "Rubin" is now being revived, returned to the RPL.

Are you interested in watching these tournaments without the Russian national team? Would an increase in the number of legionnaires help Russian clubs become more competitive in Europe or Russian volleyball in general? This also applies to the male team of Russia, which has something to boast of in terms of results at international competitions, and our clubs. This means that we are moving correctly.
