Padin Vasily Andreevich 8. He did not immediately come to archeology. The first passion was the theater, and the teachers were Yu. Zavadsky Theater of Vakhtangov and B. Sushkevich Mkhat. He studied and married in Moscow, but passionate about the trends of a new era, the desire to carry a culture to the masses, he and his wife, throwing a Moscow apartment, returned to Padin, staged more performances of 90 prime ministers from the plays of classics and Soviet authors.

Since October 20, Padin became the director of the Trubchevsky Museum. He studied archeology, participated in expeditions under the leadership of M. Voevodsky, B. Rybakov, L. Artishevskaya, P. of the expedition, according to Padin himself, “wonderful field university”. All the scientific activity of Padin was devoted to the research of one small region, where he realized 23 open sheets.

He opened a number of archaeological monuments important for the history of the Bryansk region in Trubchevsky, Surazhsky, Navlin and Suzemsky districts, 2 Neolithic parking lots, 9 mounds of the bronze era, 3 settlements of the early Iron Age, 6 settlements and a burial ground I thousand are excavated. Together with P. Rappoport, he studied the ancient Trubchevsk within the modern city on Cathedral Mountain.

Velichko and R. on the explorer’s account is the salvation of a unique Anti treasure: jewelry made of bronze and silver. To the celebration of the Flight of Trubchevsk, he organized the creation of a kvetun necropolis on the site of the excavated mounds near the mock -ups, among which 10 genuine, specially abandoned. In the center, an obelisk with explanatory text was installed.

This is one of the first in the Bryansk region, the experience of restoration and museumification of archaeological monuments. Padin was a member of the Council, coordinating the work of social museums. He is an enlightener and popularizer of science. In addition to the fact that they published almost 40 scientific papers, a popular science articles in regional and district newspapers and almanacs were published.

Padin read in schools and technical schools of Trubchevsk, in the villages and villages of the district hundreds of lectures, held thousands of excursions. Vasily Andreevich retired, but until the last hours of his life he remained the honorary director of the museum and regularly came to work, analyzing the huge archive, accumulated over decades and preparing new popular science articles in the press.
