We have been working tightly with manufacturers of railway equipment for a long time in one bunch. EXPO ”There was nothing that could surprise me. However, the technique that I had seen before in the form of drawings and schemes appeared on the forum in front of me, so to speak, from the "flesh and blood", in a scale, for example, a new modification of the car of the VPOS was presented.
She will be able to replace several excavation-tohole-final vehicles and an electric ballaster at once. In addition, she has much higher performance. A crane was also presented for repairing the path of the Criminal Code with the control cab. If earlier two people were managed, now one driver will be able to do this work. At the same time, he will be in a modern comfortable cabin with air conditioning and heating.

We also represented a new Ivolga train, which in the future will transport passengers in the MPD, modernized reserved seats and two -story wagons. The children were delighted with the seen railway equipment and, with knowledge of the matter, told me about innovation in this area. In the Sinara-Transport Machines pavilion, I liked the electronic platform, which allows two designers at the same time, putting on 3D-OKIA, immersed in the VR space and analyze the 3D project of the diesel locomotive in real time, interacting with each assembly and unit.
The technology allows you to see all the details of the engine and body, to effectively develop technical solutions to improve the structure and assemblies. In general, after visiting the salon, the comprehensive nature of innovative changes taking place in JSC Russian Railways becomes clear. EXPO ”is a significant event for Russian railways, and for me, as for the main engineer of the road, this is probably the most important exhibition of the year.
The latest trends in the development of railway engineering, car construction, IT technologies and technologies in the field of infrastructure diagnostics are only a little that interested me at this event. Particular attention was attracted by the auto train system "Swallow". Today on the Moscow Central Ring, test tests of this train are underway without the participation of the driver.
For such technologies - the future. Of course, I liked the technology of interval regulation of trains. This solution allows you to reduce the interval of the passing traffic by several times, increasing the throughput of existing infrastructure without investing in its expansion.This is especially true for the Kuibyshev road, where there are restrictions on throughput. We plan to apply the technology of interval regulation on the Syzran -Bezenchuk section and are already working on design solutions for the development of Syzran station.
Another interesting engineering solution regarding the use of innovative materials, for example, the construction of light composite pedestrian bridges. The life cycle of such a bridge is commensurate with concrete, and the use is much wider. New environmentally friendly power sources on locomotives are also relevant for the Kuibyshev road. For example, in my opinion, it may be extremely promising, in my opinion, the use of hybrid gas turbines on the road.
Let me remind you that landfill tests with a freight train were carried out precisely on the Kuibyshevsky road in the year, and the traction installation itself was made at the Samara enterprise of PJSC Kuznetsov. Obviously, domestic industry can and should work for Russian Railways, this is a good opportunity to increase import substitution and optimize costs during localization.
As a chief engineer, I see for myself a priority to present the development of regional industrial enterprises located territorially on the Kuibyshevsky road, on the next salon, which will take place in the year. The exhibition is representative, promising, and not all resources are involved in filling it. There are opportunities for development. EXPO "will become a host in the world.
EXPO ”got acquainted with the scientific and technical competencies of domestic and foreign partners, scientific and business communities. The information received will be used to form and organize the work of the regional innovation site, which opens on the Sverdlovsk road. It was important and useful to participate in the discussion of the implementation of a unified scientific and technical policy, search, selection and implementation of startup projects with innovative decisions at Russian Railways.
Representatives of our road became participants in the discussion of issues of preserving historical heritage, identifying and generalizing scientific and technical information for further activities to distribute it at the SVR training ground. The trip to the salon was extremely interesting, saturated and productive. Its expediency was to increase the scientific and technical activity of the Center for Technical Information in the dissemination of domestic and international experience and the latest technologies in services, directorates and road enterprises.
EXPO ” - in the presentation of the technique, which, as we could see, is more responsible for the principle of customer orientation and economy. For example, according to our segment, this kind of technique can be attributed to Transmashholding products. This rolling stock is today manufactured for the convenience of the movement of low -mobility passengers, equipped with new toilet complexes, the rolling stock salon itself has become more extensive and ergonomic.
All this is according to the requirements of the Customs Union. Of great interest is the “Swallow” electric train, the geography of which is presented today in many regions of the country, and the demand for this rolling stock is growing. Today they are managed by the locomotive teams of the Central House of Artists, and we pay special attention to their preparation. Now we are waiting for the new line of electric trains of Ural Locomotives to the market.
From the point of view of saving in the technique presented on the forum, overhaul is increased, which should be reflected in the cost of its maintenance. All this will allow directing the released resources to meet the needs of the client and the growth of the quality of the services provided. I really liked the presentation of an unmanned “swallow”, but I don’t know how ready this system is and whether it is needed now. Since the person’s participation in the management of trains is necessary, for example, in an emergency situation. In principle, the technology is interesting, but I still do not see expediency.
If we compare Innotrans and the exhibition in Shcherbinka, then Berlin is undoubtedly larger. However, for companies focusing in space, it is better to come to Shcherbinka. EXPO ”is more compact and aimed at a specific part of the railway world. I think that both exhibitions are needed in our field. In the next Russian exhibition, we will traditionally participate, since we have something to imagine.
By and large, I would not change anything in the next exhibition, because over the years of its holding, the organizers “polished” all topics. I think that everything that is important is already on it. I will wait for new technologies for the future that will certainly appear in two years. The exhibition is interesting in that you can find out new trends and projects manufactured in Russia, as well as look at the technique of competitors.This exhibition is simply necessary for specialists working in the railway industry.
Since the EXPO takes two years, the railway companies have enough time to come up with something interesting. In general, the exhibition format is convenient for us. The only thing, I think, is worth inviting more foreign representatives of the railway administrations of space in order to organize a kind of center for them. This year I managed to communicate only with Kazakhstan Temir Zhola, although I would like with other companies in the countries of the former CIS.
For them, this event will be useful. Here is really an organization at a high level. Since the exhibition has an industry character that is different from our company, our presence in the Austrian delegation as part of the Austrian technology day was originally purposeful.
EXPO ”surprised us with its scope and seriousness of the organization. In this sense, only positive impressions remained. On the other hand, our specific goal was to offer cooperation in the social obligations of Russian Railways, that is, in the healthcare system for its employees. Our industry is little interested in railway transport, but it was in the case of Russian Railways that common interests were found.
Therefore, we made a proposal to develop and use Austrian experience, as well as advanced modernization technologies for Russian Railways. Since I am more interested in the sphere of medicine, the Russian Railways project, known not only in Russia, but also beyond, is a “health train”. It would indeed be interesting to see some kind of fragment or dummy of such a train.
If we cooperate with Russian Railways, we will definitely participate in EXPO next time.
