He was born in the summer of the year in a concentration camp on the territory occupied by the Germans. For the fact that he survived the difficult time for the whole country, Evgeny Pavlovich always thanked his fate and his godfather, his native aunt Lida, who literally carried him in his arms through the war. Kharlamov, after the release of the four-year-old Zhenya from the concentration camp, together with his mother, was transferred to a correctional labor camp to the Kemerovo region.
Eugene's childhood was difficult. But he did not become embittered, helped his mother raise and educate his three more sisters. But it seems that it was childhood who became the source of that eternal sadness inherent in Kharlamov’s poems ... However, there is much more light and kindness in them than sorrow. His lines are permeated with love - to parents, children, woman, nature ...
to life. His lyrics are philosophical. From school years, Kharlamov was fond of literature, read out by the works of A. Blok, I. Bunin, A. Pushkin, L. Tolstoy and other classics. I read you, loving. But, visiting the literary circle, he realized that he could not live without journalism and poetry, therefore he did not appear to defend his diploma. He worked as a concrete worker, master and head of the pile training ground, held engineering positions.
In the year, Evgeny Kharlamov moved to live in Volgograd. He was engaged in translations from the Ukrainian and Polish languages, composed poems, being always an adherent of the classical Russian word. Published in the magazines "Fatherland" and "Our Contemporary". He published collections of poems “About the life of talking”, “Under the sign of Russia”, “To live”, “Yesterday I was ...” and others.
In the last years of his life, the poet led the Litobobean "Hope" in the Soviet district of Volgograd, often performed in libraries. Not a single literary holiday in the area took place without his participation. The soul of the team, an example for their students, their favorite ... no arrogance in relation to beginners: praised, if there was anything, he criticized, when necessary, he gave advice, but did not beat anyone in his hands.
